The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners have adopted the following Resolutions to be under the guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Action (HIPAA) of l996 by Congress.
Resolution 2003-9 adopted March 11, 2003 states Jefferson County hereby adopts and supports a HIPAA Compliance Initiative.
Resolution 2003-10 adopted March 11, 2003 appoints a HIPAA Steering Committee.
Resolution 20030-14 adopted March 18, 2003 states Jefferson County is hereby designated as a Hybrid Covered Entity
